Letterboxing

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

Well, I went out on my first letterboxing adventure of the year yesterday. It was a lovely day. The sun was out but it was still darn chilly in the shade. Along of the adventure was my co-worker and friend Crystal along with one of my best besties Melissa, and her son Mason. We first went to Hazel Dell Park where my nephew Cree, and I had gone letterboxing when he was here visiting from Texas. The first box we were looking for I had found before so I let them lead the way. We found that one just fine, of course. The next one we went for, we couldn’t find. I am going to have to go back and try again soon. Mason had a super fun time playing on the unique play structures.

Next we went up to the beautiful and scenic WSU-Vancouver campus. We walked along the path and enjoyed the view. There were some neat monuments that we checked out along the way. This box was my first mystery box. The person who planted it chose not to give a specific location for the box. There were a few clues that helped us figure out where it was.

It was an awesome day and I really can’t wait to get outside again soon.

On a side note, we used our newest group stamp yesterday. It is my masterpiece.
