The Summer of 2006!

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

This has been the best summer of my life!

It all started on the Summer Solstice. That was the day that Colby and I met with our officiant to plan our ceremony for our wedding. From then on, it is like I have been wrapped in a blanket of love! (Don’t get me wrong, there have been struggles along the way too, but that just makes the rewards all the sweeter.)

With the help of our families, we were able to have the most amazing and meaningful wedding. The twenty second of July will forever be the sweetest day of my life!

Our Honeymoon was so perfect. We had a great time just chilling out together. It was fun to have Joel, Kristina, and Miller come and spend the night with us, too. We had a real bonding experience!

One of my favorite things of this summer was all the super good quality time I have gotten to spend with my Texican relatives. Joel brought his whole troop with him for my wedding. I got to spend so much time with Kristina, I feel like we have a really strong friendship now. It was fun to have my nephews here. Cree is such a stud, and Tripp and Haze are following right along in his footsteps.

Here we are at Seaside…Colby and I went up there from Cannon Beach to spend a little time with the family and see the aquarium.

Since the honeymoon, we have started to plan for our future. (Yup, like real adults!!!) It looks like we will be moving from this sh*t hole soon, and into a nicer place. Colby found a job as an Arborist in Training…this is especially cool because that is what he wants to do! WOo-hOO! I have put in my notice at the restaurant I work at and will be going to work full time for my close friend. She has a BOOMING house cleaning business and I am SO coming along for the ride.
This past weekend marks the passing of the Third annual Double J & D Cabin Trip…Awww, I am truly blessed to have such great times with such great friends. We had the most fun ever!~
